Am 12. September 1683 befreite unter König Johann III Sobieski, ein Entsatzheer Wien von der Türkenbelagerung. Am heutigen Tag fand ein würdiger Festgottesdienst zelebriert vom Primas Poloniae Erzbischof Polak aus Gnesen (Gniezno) in der Kirche am Kahlenberg statt und wir waren dabei.
Nach dem Festgottesdienst wurde Frau Daniela Koutnik in diesem feierlichen Rahmen als neues Mitglied in den St. Stanislaus Orden aufgenommen.
Today we commemorate the 335th anniversary of the Battle of Vienna. The Polish King Jan III Sobieski commanding the Polish-Austrian-German forces, won a magnificent victory over the Ottoman Turks commanded by Grand Vizier Kara Mustafa Pasha.
This was one of the most important battles in the history of the world. It’s worth remembering that this battle saved Europe and Christianity!
